Outlook for Lewis and Jefferson Counties from NWS in Buffalo:
An extended
period of hot and humid weather is expected next week. The heat index WILL
rise well into the 90s Monday through Thursday, with the hottest days being
Tuesday and Wednesday with heat index values in the mid to upper 90s.
It will not only
be the impressive level of oppressive midday and afternoon heat to contend
with, but the cumulative impacts of having the mercury settle only to near
70 for the overnights, thereby extremely limiting any relief.
