Two of the Three Upcoming Mobile Mammography
Screening Events in North Country Rescheduled

WATERTOWN, NY-- Due to
mechanical issues with the Upstate Mobile Mammography Van, the two April
events at the Evans Mills Fire Department and the Ogdensburg Volunteer
Rescue Squad have rescheduled to occur in June. Patients have been notified
and rescheduled.
The Thursday, May
23 appointments at the Lewis County Office for the Aging, located at 5274
Outer Stowe Street, Lowville, will continue as scheduled.

through a grant from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Fort Drum Regional
Health Planning Organization (FDRHPO) has teamed up with Upstate Mobile
Mammography to bring the mobile mammography van to Evans Mills, Ogdensburg and Lowville.

Women who are due
or overdue for their annual screening mammograms are encouraged to schedule
an appointment by calling 315-755-0740. While all insurances are accepted
for mobile mammography, FDRHPO is particularly targeting the Medicare and
Medicaid population to ensure they are current with their mammograms.
Grants may be available for those who do not have insurance.
