Town of Denmark,
Village of Castorland, and Village of Copenhagen SWOT Exercise for
Comprehensive Plan Update
The Town of
Denmark, Village of Castorland, and Village of Copenhagen Comprehensive
Plan Committee will be holding SWOT sessions on the following dates and
times. The village of Castorland will be holding a SWOT session on April
11th at 7:00 PM. The session will be held at the village municipal building
(DPW) at 5187 NY-410, Castorland, NY, 13620. The town of Denmark will be
holding a SWOT session on April 18th at 6:30 PM. The session will be held
at the town municipal building at 3707 Roberts Rd, Carthage, NY, 13619. The
village of Copenhagen will be holding a SWOT session on May 9th at 6:30 PM.
The session will be held at the Copenhagen Central School Cafeteria at 3020
Mechanic St, Copenhagen, NY 13626.
A “Strengths,
Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats” (SWOT) session encourages community
involvement in the development of the comprehensive plan. The SWOT session
is a visioning exercise which helps gather thoughts and opinions about the
future of the town and villages. The information gathered at the session
will be used to develop a survey to gather further information from the
public. The results from the SWOT session and the survey will assist the
joint comprehensive plan committee with the development of goals,
strategies, and objectives focusing on a shared vision for the future
development within the town and villages. Please come and have your
opinions heard!
