Summer Youth Soccer Program Expanding to South Lewis

Youth Soccer Expanding to South Lewis
The Lowville
Youth Athletic Association has offered youth soccer (known as Lowville
Youth Soccer or LYSA) at the Lowville Fairgrounds for many years. While the
program has been held in Lowville it has always been and continues to be
open to families from anywhere in the area.
In 2024, through
a collaboration with a dedicated group of volunteers from the South Lewis
area and South Lewis Central School the youth soccer program will be
expanding to offer families the opportunity to attend soccer in either
Lowville (LYSA) or Turin (SLYSA).
The program will
follow its traditional format offering soccer on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings, with practice and games taking place from 6 to 8 p.m. The 2024
season will run from Tuesday, July 9th to Tuesday, August
13th (with no soccer the week of the Lewis County Fair).
The registration
process will look very similar to past years, the only change will be the
option of where to play. Families will have the option to select Lowville
or Turin (at the South Lewis School) as their preferred location to attend
soccer.
Registration
events will be offered on four different evenings in April:
Monday, April 15th from 4 to 6
PM at Lowville Elks Lodge
Tuesday, April 16th from 3 to 6
PM at South Lewis Elementary (Playground entrance)
Thursday, April 18th from 6 to 8
PM at South Lewis Elementary (Playground entrance)
Tuesday, April 30th from 6 to 8
PM at Lowville Elks Lodge
Registration for
either location can be completed at any of the four events. The cost of
registration is $30 for the first child and $25 per additional child from
the same household, with a cap of $100 per family. For first time players,
proof of birthdate is required to register.
