...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Heavy snow
possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches possible. Winds could
gust as high as 40 mph with areas of blowing snow at times.
* WHERE...Northern Cayuga,
Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis counties. Greatest
snow accumulations will mainly be across higher terrain, including the Tug
Hill plateau and Western Adirondacks.
* WHEN...From late
Saturday night through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be
very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce
visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning
commute.
*PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS
ACTIONS...Begin needed preparations at home or with your vehicle. Travel may
become difficult, so plan accordingly.
