Hospital Foundation Announces Donation from Community
Bank in Lowville to Support Fund for Hope

Community Bank Supports the Fund for Hope
 The employees at Community Bank in
Lowville presented a check to the Lewis County Hospital Foundation to
support the Fund for Hope. Bank staff
were awarded credits for their volunteer hours, and they selected the Fund
for Hope to receive a donation of $1,000. In 2023 the Fund for Hope gave out over
$50,000 to support cancer patients with their treatment travel
expenses.
The Fund for Hope
supports local cancer patients who live in Lewis County or use the services
of the Lewis County Health System with travel expenses related to their cancer
treatment. Cancer patients may
receive up to $1,000 annually to pay for gas, tolls, hotels, and food for
the patient while traveling. The
Fund for Hope does not pay medical expenses or medication costs. Applications

financial information is required.
