Town of New Bremen Adopts Updated Local Zoning Law

TOWN OF NEW BREMEN PUBLIC NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL
LAW
PLEASE TAKE
NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of New Bremen, in the County
of Lewis, State of New York, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, duly enacted
Local Law No. 1 of the Year 2023, entitled “Town of New Bremen Zoning Law,
Local Law No. 1 of 2023,” and entered it in its minutes.
The aforesaid
local law combined Local Law No. 2 of 2021, Solar Energy System Law of
the Town of New Bremen, with Local Law No. 1 of 2001, Town of New Bremen
Site Plan Review Zoning Law with various updates through its entirety. This
new law created a cohesive document that can be easily circulated and
referenced by users and enforcement officers. Furthermore, it focused on
the addition of battery storage facility regulations, enhancements to
medium and large-scale solar energy system regulations, and various dated
improvements such as added definitions for factory manufactured homes and
manufactured homes. The intent of these improvements is to promote and
guide development in an orderly and efficient manner. Said local law can be viewed in its
entirety at the Town Clerk’s office.
