...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 7 PM EST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy
lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet in
the most persistent lake snows, with the greatest amounts centered on Tug
Hill. Lake band centered on the southern Tug Hill
Tuesday afternoon and evening will shift slowly north Tuesday night into
Wednesday into the Watertown area, before settling back south of Watertown
later Wednesday night and Thursday. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, mainly
Wednesday afternoon and evening.
* WHERE...The Eastern Lake
Ontario Region.
* WHEN...From 1 PM this
afternoon to 7 PM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be
very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the
morning or evening commute.
*PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS
ACTIONS...Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared
for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
