Description automatically generatedLOWVILLE - Kathleen Elaine Gingerich, 84, of Waters Road Lowville, went peacefully to be with the Lord On Sunday, November 12th, 2023, under the care of her family, caregivers and Hospice.

 

Kathleen was born on June, 3rd, 1939, a daughter of Simon Sr. and Adeline Gingerich. She attended the Harrisburg Country School for a short time, but because of her disability she was taught at home many household skills by her Father and Mother and resided with them.

 

Kathleen faithfully attended the Naumburg Mennonite Church and enjoyed being with family and friends. She especially had a love for children and helped care for many of her nieces and nephews. Kathleen enjoyed traveling to Canada to visit many of her relatives.

 

After her Mother's passing in 2003 she lived with her two sisters until January, 2005, when she became a resident of the UCP faith - based home on Waters Road, Lowville.

 

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Simon Sr. and Diane Gingerich, Lowville; her sister, Mary Ellen Roggie, Carthage; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her sister-in-law, Lena Gingerich; her sister and brother-in-law, Clifford and Geraldine Zehr; her brother-in-law, Wilbur Roggie; several nieces and nephews.

 

The funeral will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Naumburg Mennonite Church, Castorland. Calling hours will be 11:00 AM, until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Officiating, Rev. Titus Mast, Rev. Bruce J. Roggie, and Rev. Myron Roggie. Burial will be at Croghan Mennonite Cemetery.
