The Board of
Legislators will meet on Tuesday, November 7, 2023
at 5:00 p.m. for the regular monthly meeting which will be held in the
Legislative Board Chambers at the Courthouse in Lowville, NY. Enclosed are proposed
resolutions for action. Any other business may be conducted.
There will be
public hearings on the following:
• Local Law No. 1-2023 “Local Law to
Authorize Overriding the Tax Levy Limit Established by General Municipal
Law §3-C (A/K/A 2% Tax Cap) for the Lewis County 2024 Budget”
• Local Law No. 2-2023 “Local Law of the
County of Lewis Providing Partial Real Property Tax Exemptions for
Volunteer Firefighters and Ambulance Workers Pursuant to Section 466-A of
the Real Property Tax Law”
• Lewis County 2024 Shared Services Plan
• Unsafe Structure located at 6314 East
Main Street, Village of Turin
