 LOWVILLE- Arlene M.
Dickinson, 69, of 7512 Railroad Street,
Lowville passed away early Thursday morning, October 26, 2023 at her home
under the loving care of her family and Lewis County Hospice.
Calling hours are
from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. A
private graveside service will be at the convenience of the family in
Lowville Rural Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be at
1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at New
Bremen Fire Department, all are welcome. Any food donations may be taken
directly to the New Bremen Fire Hall on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00
a.m. Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
Arlene is
survived by seven children Patty and Randy White of Port Leyden, Steven L.
and Monica Snyder of Lowville, Scott Snyder of Lowville, Amy and Jason
Barbarito of Lowville, Tammy and Carl Roberts of Turin, Matthew Snyder of
Lowville, Jody and Shawn Gibbs of Lowville; 22
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas A. (Debbie)
Dickinson of Pleasant Valley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is
predeceased by four brothers, Lawrence Dickinson, David Dickinson, Theodore
Dickinson and Wayne Dickinson; and a
granddaughter, Anna Gibbs, who was stillborn.
Arlene was born
on December 13, 1953 in Rochester, NY, a daughter
of the late Donald W. and Bernice A. Wilder Dickinson. She attended
Lowville Academy and Central School. Arlene worked at “Y” Liquors,
P&C and then was a homemaker and raised her family. She also did
home health care and worked at Head Start in Lyons Falls for many
years.
Arlene enjoyed
crocheting, knitting, canvas work and diamond painting. She also
enjoyed playing cards.
