NYSP: Harrisville Resident Charged with 4 Counts of
Possessing Controlled Substance

PRESS RELEASE
On October 30,
2023, State Police members arrested Logan E. Lavancha, age 26, of
Harrisville, NY for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th,
and criminal substance not in original container.
On October 30,
2023, around 5:01 p.m., Troopers responded to County Route 22, in the town
of Fowler for a disabled vehicle in the roadway. When the Troopers
arrived on scene, they located a red 2018 Chevrolet Silverado with a flat
tire, blocking the westbound lane of travel. The Trooper approached
the vehicle, observed a male sleeping in the truck, who was later
identified as Lavancha. Troopers observed drug paraphernalia that was
later identified as heroin. The Troopers conducted a search of the
vehicle and located methamphetamine, and pills that were known to be
buprenorphine.
Lavancha was
arrested and transported to SP Gouverneur for processing. He was
released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Fowler Court for
a later date in November.
