...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

 

* WHAT...Excessive lake effect rainfall may result in flooding.

 

* WHERE...A portion of central New York, including the following

  counties, Jefferson, Lewis and Oswego.

 

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

 

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,

  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - A band of heavy lake effect rain will impact portions of

    Oswego, southern Jefferson, and western Lewis counties today

    through this evening, before moving north across Jefferson

    County overnight. This band of lake effect rain may produce

    rainfall of 2 to 4 inches across portions of the area, with

    even higher local amounts if the band stalls in one location

    for an extended period of time.
