Description automatically generatedCOPENHAGEN- Mary Louise Rich, 70, of Phalen Drive, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at her home.

 

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Basil; one son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Audra Seippel; three step-children and their spouses, Tina (Carey) Koster of Lowville, Robert Rich of Evans Mills, Scott Rich and Jacqueline Corbett of Syracuse; her mother-in-law, Mary Becraft of Chaumont; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joyce Sherman and her companion Ray of Oswego; Addy Maldomado of Hannibal; Larry Searor of Hannibal; Frank Searor of Fulton; Robert Searor of Fulton; John Searor of Fulton; Cathy Proctor of Clyde; a special aunt, Kathleen Cook of Hannibal; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by a step-daughter-in-law, Alesa Rich; a great-granddaughter, Luna Marie Brouty, and a stillborn brother.

 

Mary was born June 2, 1953 in Fulton, NY, a daughter of Horace and Mildred Elizabeth Brown Duprey.  She attended Hannibal High School.  A marriage to Clarence Seippel sadly ended when he passed away many years ago.  She married Basil A. Rich, Jr. on July 24, 2019 in Warren Ohio.  Mary attended River of Life Fellowship in Copenhagen and loved her church.  She also enjoyed baking and cooking, her house plants, going to family functions, and knitting.  Mary especially loved her kitty cats Precious, Tigger, and Angel.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at River of Life Fellowship, Copenhagen, with Pastor George Gray officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.
