Discover Tug Hill Requests Proposals for Tourism
Content Creation
LEWIS COUNTY, NY – Discover Tug
Hill, the new tourism brand for Lewis County, NY, is announcing the release
of a Request for Proposals (RFP) inviting content creators to join in an
initiative aimed at showcasing the unparalleled beauty and unique
attractions of the Tug Hill region. Discover Tug Hill has been awarded $250,000
from the NYS EDA Tourism Partner Sub-Awards Grant Program, which enables
Discover Tug Hill to fund projects that will enhance their tourism
promotion efforts.
Tug Hill, located
in the heart of upstate New York, boasts breathtaking landscapes, charming
communities, and a rich cultural heritage that often remains undiscovered.
With the launch of this RFP, Discover Tug Hill seeks to collaborate with
talented content creators who can capture the essence of this hidden gem
and share its treasures with a wider audience.
“Through this
initiative and these funds, we are able to collaborate with content
creators that can highlight the assets of our region and connect with
future visitors” said Kristen Aucter, Director of Tourism
and the Chamber of Commerce. “Tourism isn’t the end goal for our region;
it’s the means to achieve external investment that will result in a better
quality of life for our residents – and that’s a prospect we’re truly excited
for.”
Content creators
from various disciplines, including photographers, videographers, writers,
bloggers, and social media influencers, are encouraged to submit their
proposals for projects that will highlight the distinct experiences and
attractions that Lewis County and the Tug Hill region have to offer. The

Discover Tug Hill
is currently managed by the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, with the
intent to fully be managed by Naturally Lewis, the
economic development agency for Lewis County, in the future. The Lewis County Chamber of Commerce and
Naturally Lewis are currently working through an
operational and organizational merger that will encompass all economic and
tourism development initiatives.
