NRCIL is proud to partner with Kinney Drugs to Celebrate
the 33rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act
Watertown, NY- To connect with
our communities and bring awareness of the ADA, NRCILs offices will be closed
and staff members
can be found throughout St. Lawrence, Jefferson
and Lewis Counties on July 26, 2023, the
Anniversary of
the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The ADA is a
civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with
disabilities in all areas of public
life, including
jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are
open to the general public. The
purpose of the
law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and
opportunities as everyone
else. The ADA is
divided into five titles (or sections) that relate to different areas of
public life: Employment, Public
Services, Public
Accommodations and Services, Telecommunications and Miscellaneous
Provisions including
transportation.
Tables will feature trivia and other games with prizes for all
participants.
