Historic 1826 Lowville Village Band Summer Concert
Series Continues with Free Community Concert July 12

Historic 1826 Lowville Village Band summer concert series
continues this Wednesday
Lowville, NY- On Wednesday, July 12 at 7:00 PM in Lowville Veterans
Memorial Park, located behind the Post Office the historic Lowville Village
Band returns to the Millard Chamberlain Band Stand for the 2nd
of several old-fashioned band concerts. These concerts have been
gracing the community with recorded history back to 1826. This
concert will feature a medley from "Beauty and the Beast", Leroy
Andersons 1950's pop hit "Blue Tango" and one of the biggest hits
of 1987 Rick Astleys "Never Gonna Give You Up". Other songs to be
performed are the beautiful ballad "Loch Lomand",
"Last Ride of the Pony Express" and "Jai Ho" from the
movie Slum Dog Millionaire. The concert will end with a salute
to America with "God Bless America" and the march dedicated to
all of us called "Americans We". The concert is sponsored
by: linkinglewiscounty.com, Tom Spaulding State Farm Insurance,
PB&J Cafe, Jebs Restaurant, and the Village
of Lowville. Everyone is cordially invited to this free old-fashioned
concert in the park. Bring a blanket, bring a chair, have a picnic,
enjoy the playground and open space for ball and
frisbee while enjoying the talents found in our community. In case of
thunderstorms or heavy rain the concert will be cancelled and added to the
August calendar.
