Scouts BSA Troop 162 of Lowville Celebrates Three

LOWVILLE ACADEMY AND CENTRAL SCHOOL GRADUATES THREE
EAGLE SCOUTS
 On Saturday, June
24, 2023 Lowville Academy and Central School held
its annual commencement, celebrating the academic accomplishments of 92
students who have satisfied the requirements for graduation. Among these graduates
a unique bond existed between three of them- they each achieved the rank of
Eagle Scout in the Scouts BSA Troop 162 of Lowville, New York.
Pictured from left
to right are Nathan Widrick, Drew Ortlieb, and Noah Comet, all members of Troop 162 in
Lowville, NY. After graduation, Nathan Widrick
will be abending Anderson University in Anderson, SC, where he will study
Financial Economics and Political Science. Drew Ortlieb
will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts to study Civil
Engineering. Noah Comet will be attending Jefferson Community College to
pursue a degree in sciences and then transferring to SUNY Canton to study
Funeral Science Administration.
Only about four
percent of those who enroll in Scouts BSA achieve the rank of Eagle Scout
by the end of their Scouting journey.

162 is chartered by American Legion Post 162 in Lowville, NY.

their accomplishments in Scouting and in their academic pursuits.
