 COPENHAGEN- Jessie J.
Bourgeois, 41, of Main Street, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at his home.
He is survived by
his parents, Douglas Bourgeois of Utica, and Donna Bourgeois of Port
Leyden; a sister and brother-in-law, Kai and Sean
Powers of Rome, and their two children, Kinley and Parker; several aunts,
uncles and many, many cousins.
Jessie is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Robert “Basil”
and Marie Burnham and paternal grandparents Donald and Avis Bourgeois.
Jessie was born
on October 26, 1981 in Watertown, NY a son of Douglas and Donna Burnham Bourgeois and
attended South Lewis Central School.
He went to work for his father changing
tires. Jessie enjoyed working with
his dad and traveling to the area farms, fixing tractor tires where he met
many nice people. He had various
mechanic positions and other jobs throughout Lewis and Oneida county
including working for Bill Aganier, sawing
firewood and tapping trees. He was a
mechanic for Lyons Falls Tire for many years. Jessie loved his family and had a smile
that lit up the room. He loved helping his neighbors by shoveling driveways,
sidewalks, and chopping ice off of the roof. Jessie always helped everyone
and no one had to ask. He took great care of Penelope the neighbors pig, and loved her dearly. Jessie enjoyed watching NASCAR racing,
watching the Dallas Cowboys, cooking, and he loved fishing.
In
keeping with Jessie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral
service. A private graveside service
for family will be held at the convenience of the family in Brantingham Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in memory of Jessie Bourgeois to St.
Mary’s Catholic Church, NYS Route 12, Copenhagen, NY 13626. Arrangements are with Iseneker
Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
