Historic Lowville Village Band Invites New Musicians
as Preparations for Upcoming Summer Concert Series Begin

The Historic 1826 Lowville Village Band regroups for
summer concert series...invites musicians
On Monday, June 5th at
6:30 PM in the Lowville Academy Band room, the historic Lowville Village
Band will reconvene to begin preparing music for the upcoming summer
concert series.
The ensemble has a
history dating back to 1826. Community members for generations have
gathered for the enjoyment of playing and performing. The village
band invites new members. Adults and advanced HS students are
encouraged to consider joining the group. The music is very exciting,
and most is very playable with a few more challenging songs. However,
some of these, such as The Stars and Stripes Forever, are performed each
year so once you learn it, you have it.
Interested
community members can come to rehearsal on Monday, June 5 or reach out to directors
AJ McCall or Kelly Kilcer for more
information. Music is provided and the directors may be able to help
with reeds, valve oil, etc. Rehearsals are held on Mondays and concerts are
