Local BOCES Students Successful at 2023 NYS Conservation Competition

BOCES Students Successful at NYS Conservation Competition

The talented students at the Environmental Conservation & Forestry program at the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center had another strong showing at the New York State Conservation Competition.

 

The 2023 edition of the competition was held on May 18, 2023 at SUNY Cobleskill and included a total of close to 400 students from 12 different BOCES conservation and forestry programs located throughout New York State.

 

BOCES students from the Sackett Center won a total of six 1st place trophies, three 2nd place trophies, four 3rd place trophies, and multiple 4th and 5th place trophies. First place winners received a $1,000 annual scholarship to SUNY Cobleskill.
