Announcement:
I am running for
Lewis County Legislator District # 2 because I believe I can bring positive
change to our community by addressing the issues that matter most to our
residents. I have a strong commitment to public service and a
proven track record of working tirelessly to improve the lives of
those around me. I am eager to use my skills and experience to make
a positive impact on our county and to provide accountability, fiscal
responsibility for our tax dollars and transparency to my
constituents.
Married to my
wife Jane for 44 years. We have 2 children Rebecca & Matthew and a grandson
Alexander. Our son Matthew died in a car accident in 2004.
I grew up in the
Village of Croghan and now we live just outside of the Village in the Town
of Croghan. I am a 65-year native of Croghan.
I worked on many local
farms and then Kraft Foods. I retired from Kraft Foods after 35 yrs.
Started as an hourly employee in the sanitation department, then was
promoted to many managerial positions of leadership. Processing Supervisor,
CI (Continuous Improvement Engineer) CI Manager, then to Business
Development Manager at the Kraft Corporate Level. I managed many projects
from a few thousand to multi million dollars. I have a Black Belt in Six
Sigma methodology.
After retirement
I did consulting work for Kraft Lowville NY, Kraft Walton NY, Tulare Ca.
& California Dairy in Ca.
I am very active
in our Church of St. Stephens. I volunteer for the Office of the Aging. I
have been an active volunteer member of the Lewis County Sustainable
Farming Committee for the last 4 yrs. I would like to use the dairy
processing knowledge that I have acquired over the 35 years to help this
cause.
What's my Vision?
To build & strengthen relationships. Listen to the needs of the people.
Provide educational opportunities to eradicate drugs, domestic abuse,
homelessness. To instill work skills & work ethic back in the area for
large and small businesses. To provide high level technical educational
opportunities in Lewis County to support local industry.
