LCHS Welcomes New
Provider to Women’s Health Center
LOWVILLE, NY─ Lewis County
Health System’s Women’s Health Center welcomes Family Nurse Practitioner Danah Ernst, FNP-C, to the medical staff. Danah joins
OB/GYN physicians Gerard Crawford II, M.D., and F. Lee Dutton, M.D. She will see patients at Lewis County
Women’s Health Center, located at the hospital on the second floor of the
Medical Arts Building in Lowville.
“We are excited
to expand the Women’s Health team with a nurse practitioner that grew up in
the North Country,” stated Sean Harney, MD, Chief Medical Officer of
Employed Medical Practices. “Danah has a strong background in women’s healthcare
with extensive nursing experience in maternity, NICU, and post-partum
care.”
Danah is certified by
the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She earned her Master of Science in
Family Nurse Practitioner from the State University of New York Polytechnic
Institute, Utica, New York. She also
has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix,
Arizona, and her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing from St.
Elizabeth’s College of Nursing in Utica, New York.
Danah comes to the
Lewis County Health System from Mohawk Valley Health System’s Barneveld
Medical Group in Barneveld. Before
becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked in the Lewis County
General Hospital Maternity Unit, providing care for laboring moms and their
newborns. At Mohawk Valley Health
System, she worked in various nursing settings, including level 2 NICU and
mother-baby (post- partum/nursery), and helped care for newborns during and
post-delivery.
According to
Family Nurse Practitioner Ernst, “She is looking forward to connecting with
her patients and providing them with quality women’s health care.”
