Lewis County Jury Finds Lorraine Man Guilty of
Manufacturing Meth in Town of Denmark

Lowville, NY- A trial in Lewis
County Court this week, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding,
concluded this afternoon with the jury returning a guilty verdict after
receiving the case for deliberation late this morning.
Nickolas C. Tubolino, 45, of Lorraine, NY, was found guilty
of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class D felony,
in the single-count indictment.
Mr. Tubolino was arrested on
August 11, 2021, following the July 15, 2021 search of a
residence on the Deer River Road in the Town of Denmark by the Lewis County
Drug Task Force.
The trial,
prosecuted by Assistant Lewis County District Attorney Mark Lemieux, opened
on Monday with jury selection in the morning and opening statements in the
afternoon. Mr. Tubolino was represented by
defense attorney Jeff Tompkins with the McClusky Law Firm. Jurors heard
testimony on Tuesday, with closing statements from the attorneys presented
this morning. The jury received the case for deliberation around 11 a.m.,
with a verdict reached shortly after the lunch break.
Judge King
ordered Mr. Tubolino be remanded to the Lewis
County Jail until sentencing on the charge takes place in February. Mr. Tubolino has a previous conviction for third-degree Unlawful
Manufacture of Methamphetamine in Jefferson County from August of
2015.
