Association to Meet
The Lowville
Academy and Central School Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting
on Wednesday, November 4, 2022. The
meeting will convene at 4:00 pm in the George R. Davis and Lowville Academy
Alumni and Friends Museum, located in the one room schoolhouse on the LACS
Campus. Any alumnus of LACS is invited to attend.
Lowville Academy,
founded in 1808 by a charter of the New York State Board of Regents, is one
of the longest continually operation schools in New York State. The school
celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2008.
A 14 - member Alumni Association Board meets regularly and has taken
the lead in organizing and maintaining archives dating back to the District’s early history. Alumni and friends of the district who
are interested in assisting with these efforts are always welcome.
