The Lewis County Leadership
Academy is a learning community that puts professionals in a position to
influence and add value to Lewis County.
Leadership skill development will be led by Christie Andrus-Nakano,
organizational leadership coach and owner of the Human Factor Leadership,
who teaches that by creating the right environment, leaders can be
empowered to listen to each other, think together and actively identify
strengths to build stronger and more confident leaders and teams. Additionally, students will learn about
Lewis County industries, economic development efforts, regional assets,
history, culture, needs and opportunities within Lewis County. By building
pride in Lewis County, the Leadership Academy will work to develop highly
skilled, motivated, and informed leaders who will use their knowledge and
networks to enhance our civic infrastructure, ultimately creating a more
vibrant quality of life for all.
"Amazing
things happen when you connect people, put them in an environment to learn
new things and encourage progress” says Kristen Aucter,
Executive Director of the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce. “The Lewis
County Leadership Academy provides a place for individual and community
growth to improve quality of life for everyone in Lewis County.”
The Lewis County
Leadership Academy costs $500 for members of the Lewis County Chamber of
Commerce and $600 for non-members. Scholarships and sponsorships are available.
