County Human Services Departments to Begin Temporary
Move from Stowe Street to Glenfield on August 1st

Upcoming Human Services Building Move
On August 1st
Lewis County Department of Social Services, Employment & Training,
Office for the Aging and Soil & Water Conservation District will begin
the move process to their temporary location. The offices will be located
at 5960 Main St., Glenfield, NY (the old Glenfield Elementary) while the
current building is renovated. The move is expected to happen over the
course of two weeks. To reduce foot traffic appointments may be handled
over the phone or virtually. While we hope to have the process impact business
as little as possible, please try to be patient with our staff during this
time!
The Department of
Social Services will continue to be open to the public at the Outer Stowe
Street location through August 5th. On August 8th we
will be open to the public in Glenfield. You can always call 315-376-5400
or check our Facebook page for updates.
The Employment
and Training resource room will remain open to the public up until the date
of their move. Please call 315-376-5800 or check their Facebook page for updates.
The Office for
the Aging will remain open to the public up until the date of their move. Call
315-376-5313 or check their Facebook page for additional
details. If you are unable to reach someone in the office, please leave a
message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
