Historic Lowville Village Band preparing for Summer Concert Series

Invites New Members

The Lowville Village Band, dating back to 1826, is looking forward to regrouping for the Summer 2022 Concert Series.

The Band is directed by A.J. McCall, South Lewis High School Band Director, and Kelly Kilcer, Lowville Academy Middle and High School Band Director. Performers are high school students and community members from the surrounding areas.

The Village Band welcomes new members.  The band is a welcoming group and the music performed varies in difficulty so people that may have played in high school or performed with the village band but stopped for a time can feel confident that they will contribute to the ensemble and see his/her skill level return.

The first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, May 25 at 6:30 8:30 PM.  This will be on the band stand in Veterans Memorial Park, Lowville. In case of rain, the rehearsal may be moved to the LACS Band Room.

The Summer Concert Series and rehearsal calendar will be given out on May 25.  New members should just bring their instrument and be ready to make music.  For more information contact AJ at 315-486-1083 or Kelly at 315-767-5184.  We hope to see some new members join us and help keep the Lowville Village Band history going strong.
