PHOTOS: Lewis County Judge Candidates File Nominating
Petitions with Board of Elections

Lowville, NY- The two
announced candidates for Lewis County Judge each filed nominating petitions
with the Lewis County Board of Elections during this week’s filing period,
which ended at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Incumbent Lewis County Judge Daniel R.
King filed petitions for both the Republican and Conservative party
nominations on Thursday morning at the Board of Elections office in Lowville,
joined by his family. Judge King is seeking a second 10-year term.
On Tuesday, Caleb
J. Petzoldt, Assistant District Attorney, filed
petitions for the Republican, Conservative, Democratic, and Working
Families party nominations at the Board of Elections office in Lowville,
joined by his mother.
With
both candidates seeking the Republican and Conservative party nominations,
a Primary Election will be held on June 28, 2022 to determine which candidate
will represent those lines on the November 8th General Election ballot.

petitions filed with the Lewis County
Board of Elections for local positions
up for election this year. Individuals wishing to
seek office as independent candidates can begin collecting petition signatures
on April 19, with completed petitions due back to the Board of Elections
between May 24th and 31st. More information on the independent
