Summer Programs
College is a big
transition. It comes with excitement and new challenges, new opportunities and new connections. Jefferson Community
College (JCC) offers free summer programs to help students ease into the
transition of college life while getting a head start before the rigor of
fall semester begins. There is no cost to students to participate in JCC’s
summer programs; all necessary course materials are included. Space is
limited. Early applications are recommended. Interested students should
submit their application online at www.sunyjefferson.edu/eop (look
for “free summer programs” on the left). Classes are held in flexible
formats. Sessions begin July 5, July 11, July 25
and August 8, 2022.
Students who are
hesitant about starting their college journey will find JCC’s summer
programs beneficial! Their summer experience will include taking college
prep courses and/or a credit bearing college-level course with personalized
assistance, connecting with JCC’s friendly faculty and staff, discovering
beneficial student support services available on campus and meeting peers
with a common goal of achieving a successful college experience. Through
program participation, students will strengthen their learning skills and
build confidence.

closer to realizing their dreams of getting a college education,” says
Abigail Bryant, Coordinator of JCC’s Education Opportunity Program. “Here
at JCC we want to give students every opportunity to be successful! Those
