Village of Lowville Accepting Nominations for Citizen
of the Year Award

Lowville, NY- The
Village of Lowville Board of Trustees is once again accepting nominations
for the annual Citizen of the Year award program. Village residents of any
age are encouraged to nominate someone they feel is worthy of the title. A
nominee must be a resident of the village aged 21 or older.
To nominate an individual, village residents can complete the short nomination form and include
an essay of 200 words or less stating why the nominee should be considered.
All nominations must be received back by April 30, 2022. Nomination forms may
also be requested in person at the Village Clerk’s office, 5535 Bostwick
St., or by calling 315.376.2834 ext. 3.
Completed entries should be mailed to:

Entries may also be placed in the Village Drop Box located at 5535 Bostwick
Street (note on envelope ‘Citizen of the Year’).
The plan is to once again have the government class
at Lowville Academy and Central School review the nominations, without any
identifying information, and determine a winner. The Village plans to
present the recipient with the
award at some point over the summer.
