Register Now to Attend Open
House at JCC on April 8
Jefferson
Community College (JCC) will hold its annual spring Open House on Friday,
April 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Open House is a great
opportunity for prospective students to experience the JCC campus culture first hand and get answers to any questions they may
have about college. Check-in and registration will take place in the
Commons, Jules Center (Building 6). Family members are welcome.
Highlights of
Open House include a tour through JCC’s on campus residence hall,
opportunity to meet JCC’s dedicated and friendly faculty and staff along
with Boomer, JCC’s mascot. The open house program provides opportunity for
attendees to choose four out of six tracks to learn more about individual
areas of interest. Tracks include an interactive facts & figures campus
tour, career direction connection, admissions and student panel, campus
life (athletics, student activities, student housing), educational planning
and opportunity programs and financial aid. Additionally, attendees have
the option to attend an “applications” workshop to learn about completing
the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form, admissions
application and applying for opportunity programs. JCC staff will be
available to guide and offer assistance to help
students complete their applications.
JCC has eight
start times, a variety of online learning formats, flexible schedules and
more than 40 academic programs. Students can get the “full college
experience” living on campus away from home, but not too far from home.
Opportunities abound for students to grow, discover their niche and develop their leadership skills.
