Copenhagen- The New York State Sportswriters Association has named the all-
    state teams for girls soccer, with members of the Copenhagen Lady Golden
    Knights state championship team taking the two most prestigious class 'D'
    awards.

    Coach Kathy Stackel was recognized as the state coach of the year in all of class
    'D', while her daughter, mid-fielder Claire Stackel was named the state class 'D'
    player of the year.

    Also honored from Copenhagen on the all-state first team in class 'D' was Alexis
    LaBarge, while Maci Spaulding was named to the class 'D' all-state second team.
    Emma Roberts was selected to the class 'D' third team.

    Other area players recognized were:
    Reagan Becker, Beaver River- all-state second team class 'C'
    Alexis Bach, Lowville- all-state second team class 'B'
