Lewis County High School Sports Wrap for Thursday, December 17th

Tonight's Lewis County High School sports schedule was

highlighted by a pair of boys basketball games.

The Beaver River boys basketball team had a dominate home showing against

LaFargeville, putting together a 74-25 victory. The Beavers were led by Brett

Neddo, who scored a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds, in addition

to adding 3 assists and a blocked shot. Troy Purcell contributed 10 points, 5

assists and a rebound. The Beavers got everyone involved in the action using 13

players, 12 of which scored points.

The South Lewis boys basketball team breezed through a home game against a

good Sackets Harbor team, winning the game 62-37. The Falcons were led by

Joshua Newman, who put up a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds,

while adding 3 assists, 6 blocks and a steal. Trevor Chrzanowski was the

Falcons second leading scorer with 14 points, while Naythan Cobb contributed 9

points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Dylan Durgan provided 8 points and 6

assists for South Lewis, while Justin Smith had 7 assists and 4 points.
