Lowville- The following activity took place in Lewis County Court on Friday:

    Justin E. Branagan, 28, of Lowville, was sentenced as a second felony offender
    to 1½ to 3 years in prison, $179.20 joint restitution and $50 in court fees after
    pleading guilty to a charge of third-degree attempted robbery in County Court on
    September 11, being accused of aiding in the March 28 robbery of the A Plus in
    Lowville. The prison term was ordered to run consecutively to any time given for
    violation of parole.

    Antoinette M. Cassoni, 29, of Carthage, had her case adjourned until January
    15, 2016 with a possible trial date on April 11, 2016. She is facing charges of
    third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, second-degree criminal
    possession of a controlled substance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed
    operation of a motor vehicle, after being accused of having methamphetamine
    during a traffic stop in Lowville on August 2nd.

    Andrew L. Hotchkiss, 29, of Lowville, was sentenced to 15 years in state prison
    and 20 years of post-release parole and ordered to pay $1,425 in court fees,after
    pleading guilty to a charge of first-degree sexual abuse in County Court on
    September 25. Judge Daniel R. King issued an order of protection on the victims’
    behalf that will last for eight years following the maximum release date, and Mr.
    Hoskins was registered as a sex offender as well.

    Joshua E. Hunkins, 27, of Port Leyden, was arraigned on and pleaded not
    guilty to charges of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and
    seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, being accused of
    making methamphetamine in the Town of Lyonsdale on May 15th.. His case was
    adjourned to December 11.

    Randy J. Ossont, 33, of Lyons Falls, had a possible trial date set for December
    14th on charges of third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine
    and four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was
    accused of having methamphetamine-making materials and illegally possessing
    multiple semiautomatic assault rifles in the Town of Lyonsdale in February.


    Michael T. Sullivan, 19, of Port Leyden, was arraigned on and pleaded guilty to
    a charge of third-degree burglary and was then placed on one-year interim
    probation. In August, Mr. Sullivan was accused of unlawfully entering a building
    owned by Michael Farr on McAlpine Street in Lyons Falls.
