    Turin- The South Lewis School District has suspended its football program for
    the remainder of the season due to a lack of available players. The team, which
    played the first four games of season, going 0-4, forfeited last Saturday's home
    game against Waterville. The Falcons, who are part of the NFF East football
    division newly formed last season, had remaining games scheduled at home
    versus New York Mills on October 9th and road games at Beaver River on
    October 17th and Cooperstown on October 24th.

    Four years ago the school was unable to field a football team due to lack of
    participation. The school announced earlier in the month that it will be bringing
    back the boys soccer program for next season. There is no official word on the
    state of next years football season.
