    Albany, NY - Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that there are more than
    3,500 available job openings in the NY Northern Region.  They are now listed on
    New York State's Jobs Express website http://www.labor.ny.gov/jobs/regional.
    shtm  .

    “Businesses need skilled and qualified workers to fill the new jobs that are being
    created all across the state and Jobs Express has been outstanding resource for
    connecting these employers with prospective employees," said Governor Cuomo.
    "I encourage all businesses that are hiring to post their jobs in the system and I
    urge all job seekers to start their search with Jobs Express.”

    As of September 2015, New York's private sector jobs count stood at 7,821,700
    and the unemployment rate dipped to 5.1 percent.  In Lewis County the private
    sector job count stood at 4,200 and the unemployment rate dipped to 5.5 percent
    from the year ago rate of 6.5%.

    Jobs Express allows users to search jobs based on zip code and travel distance.
    There is also a one-stop-shop and website that provides information about and
    resources for Jobs Express.  The one-stop-shop for Lewis County is located at
