Lewis County- With the regular season completed for Section III boys and girls varsity soccer teams, it's on to the playoffs for some area schools. The Section III playoff brackets were released today, with teams finding out where they ranked in the seedings. Lowville boys and girls fared well with the boys securing the number one seed in the "B" division, while the girls earned the number three seed. The Adirondack and Copenhagen boys team, along with the Beaver River, South Lewis, and Copenhagen girls team will join the Lowville teams in the post-season. Congratulations to all our local teams on great seasons! Here are the upcoming playoff schedules for local schools: BOYS "B" DIVISION: (9) Adirondack @ (8) Canastota- Wednesday, October 21 at 3 PM Semi-final- Adirondack/Canastota winner @ (1) Lowville- TBD BOYS "D" DIVISION: (9) Copenhagen @ (8) Alexandria Bay- Wednesday, October 21 at 3 PM Winner will face (1) Bishop Ludden in the next round GIRLS "B" DIVISION: Quarter-final- (6) Cazenovia @ (3) Lowville- Thursday, October 22 at 6 PM GIRLS "C" DIVISION: (13) Manlius-Peeble Hill @ (4) Beaver River- Thursday, October 22 at 3 PM (15) South Lewis @ (2) Tully- Thursday, October 22 at 3 PM GIRLS "D" DIVISION: (14) Belleville Henderson @ (3) Copenhagen- Tuesday, October 20 at 3 PM |
