Town of Pinckney- The Town of Pinckney has worked for several years restoring the Pinckney Corners cemetery on Pinckney Road, with the help of volunteers. The project to restore the historic cemetery, which was placed on state and national historic registers in 2014, is not yet completed, but has been making progress with the help of grants. Volunteers are seeking to raise an additional $10,000 to finish the project. The cemetery is rich in history and was used from 1810 - 1901. Veterans from the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and the Civil War are buried here. A dedication ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 11 AM for a road sign that will designate the cemetery as a historic site. The sign was received as a donation from the Pomeroy Foundation in Syracuse. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this ceremony at the cemetery. The following is a schedule of the ceremony:
