Lowville- After being awarded over $263.000 as part of a statewide distribution of $18 million in funds from the U.S Department of Health and Human Services program Expanded Services, the North Country Family Health Center will be expanding its oral health services in the Lowville location. The clinic, located in the rear wing at the Lewis County General Hospital, is currently only operating one ten-hour day per week. The funding will allow for the clinic to hire a full-time dentist as well as expanding hours of operation to five days per week. This should allow for the ability to see about 60 additional patients each week. The North Country Family Health Center, based in Watertown, operates under the mission of accepting all patients, no matter what the patients insurance status or ability to pay may be. For additional information or questions about the clinic you can call their office at (315)376-4500. |
