North Country Broadband Service Now Available in Lowville Area

A brand new broadband internet company is now offering

service to customers in the Lowville area, with the hopes of expanding to

additional areas of the county in the future.

North Country Broadband has started providing high speed internet service to

the public, after a series of tests on the network. The provider, which has

installed equipment on the 911 tower located at the Public Safety Building on

Stowe Street, is able to offer wireless service within an area of up to a twelve

mile radius of the tower, with a simple antenna and gateway device installed at

the customers location.

The company has both business and residential services available at a variety

of speeds and prices. Monthly fees include all taxes and the required gateway

device needed to access the service. There is a one-time installation fee of

$150.

The service is aimed to serve customers who currently do not have access to

broadband internet service, but also provides an additional no contract,
