    Lowville- The following activity took place in Lewis County Court on Friday,
    July 15th:

    Sentencing:

    No sentencing activity took place.

    PLEAS:

    Charles A. Bole, 36, of Rome, pleaded GUILTY to fourth-degree Criminal
    Possession of a Weapon,a class "A" misdemeanor and Driving While
    Intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor. Sentencing was set for September
    23th. Mr. Bole was arrested by Lowville Police just after midnight on April 17th,
    on Turin Road in the village, where he was accused of Driving While
    Intoxicated and possessing a knife with metal knuckles.

    James M. Dean, 65, of New Bremen, was arraigned and entered a NOT
    GUILTY plea to charges of third-degree Arson, a class "C" felony and second-
    degree Criminal Mischief, a class "D" felony. The case was adjourned to
    August 26th.Mr.Dean is accused of setting fire to a trailer home on Patty Street
    in the Town of New Bremen on October 19th, causing damages exceeding
    $7,000.

    Judith Grasso, 53, of Shokan, NY, pleaded GUILTY to fifth-degree Attempted
    Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance,a class "E" felony and fifth-degree
    Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony. Sentencing
    was scheduled for September 23rd. Ms. Grasso was accused of possessing
    and selling LSD at the moe.down music festival on October 30, 2014.

    Jerrilee Hartle, 35, of Lowville, was arraigned and entered a NOT GUILTY
    plea to charges Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, Harassment,
    Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance,Illegal Signal and No Head
    Lamp. The case was adjourned until August 26th. Mr Hartle was arrested on
    March 5th in the Village of Lowville after a traffic stop of his John Deere tractor.

    Jody L. Matthews, 44, Edwards, was arraigned and entered a NOT GUILTY
    plea to charges of felony Aggravated DWI and Failure to Keep Right. The case
    was adjourned to August 26th. Mr. Matthews was arrested following a traffic
    stop of his ATV on Factory Road in the Town of Montague on April 16th during
    the SNIRT Run.   

    Jared O. Platt, 23, of Boonville, entered GUILTY pleas to felony Driving While
    Intoxicated, second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor
    Vehicle and Violating the Interlock Device restriction from a previous DWI
    conviction. He was then entered into the county's Drug Court program, with
    sentencing adjourned until after completion of the program. Mr. Platt was
    arrested on State Route 26 in Turin after deputies responded to a reported
    vehicle off the road on March 4th. He was previously convicted of DWI in the
    Village of Boonville in July of 2015.
