    Lowville- The following activity took place in Lewis County Court on Friday,
    June 10th:

    Sentencing:

    Isaac P. Juby, 19, of Lowville, was sentenced to time served and three years
    of probation on a charge of Petit Larceny, a class "A" misdemeanor, after
    previously entering a guilty plea on the charge. Judge Daniel King also ordered
    Mr. Juby to pay $9.074.55 in restitution, allowing up to two years to pay, and
    $250 in court fees. Mr. Juby was accused of taking a car belonging to a
    Lowville woman on August 13, 2015 and was later involved in an accident in
    the vehicle.

    Ian J. Burke, 26, of West Leyden, was sentenced as a second-felony offender
    to six years in state prison and five years post-release parole, but mandated for
    the state’s six-month Shock Incarceration program, on charges of second-
    degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Mr. Burke was also
    ordered to pay $375 in court fees and will serve a six-month driver’s license
    suspension. He was accused of making meth and growing marijuana in the
    presence of a child on September 29, 2015 in the town of Lewis

    Jeremy M. Kampney, 24 ,of Croghan, was sentenced to two additional years
    of probation after successfully completing one year of interim probation, on a
    charge of second-degree Criminal Contempt, a class "A" misdemeanor-
    reduced from his original plea to first-degree Criminal Contempt, a class "E"
    felony based successfully completing the interim probation. He was ordered to
    pay $250 in court fees. Mr. Kampney was accused of violating a no contact
    order in the Town of Croghan in January of 2015.

    Travis B. Weber, 32, of Port Leyden, was sentenced to three years of
    probation on a charge of second-degree Criminal Trespass, a class "A"
    misdemeanor. He was additionally ordered to pay $250 in court fees. He was
    arrested in October of 2015 after a domestic dispute in the Village of Port
    Leyden.

    PLEAS:

    Desiree J. Balcom, 22, of Glenfield, pleaded guilty to third-degree Unlawful
    Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "D" felony. Sentencing was set for
    August 12th. Ms. Balcom was accused of possessing materials to make
    methamphetamine on December 28, 2015 in the Village of Port Leyden.

    Paul J. Bigelow, 23, of Natural Bridge, pleaded guilty to second-degree
    Attempted Assault, a class "E" felony. His sentencing was scheduled for August
    12th. Mr. Bigelow was accused of hitting another individual over the head with
    a wooden stool in the Town of Diana on July 04, 2015.

    Patrick H. Clifton, 20, of Lyons Falls, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree Criminal
    Possession of Stolen property, a class "A" misdemeanor. Sentencing is set for
    August 12th. He was accused of possessing a 1988 Honda 4-Wheeler
    belonging to another individual on March 18th in the Town of Turin.

    Justin R. Halladay, 32, of Croghan, entered a guilty plea to a charge of third-
    degree Burglary, a class "D" felony, with sentencing scheduled for August 12th.
    He was accused of unlawfully entering a building on Long Pond Road in the
    Town of Croghan on January 16th.

    Joyce E. Schader, 37, Lowville, entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor count
    of Petit Larceny. Sentencing was scheduled for August 12th. Ms. Schader was
    arrested in April after investigation into an incident occurring in 2015.

    Michael L. Simpson, 38, of Port Leyden, entered guilty pleas to felony Driving
    While Intoxicated and second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a
    Motor Vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor. Mr. Simpson was previously
    convicted on a DWI charge in March of 2009. He was entered into the Lewis
    County Drug Court program, with sentencing scheduled for one year from now
    based on the successful completion of the program. He was arrested on March
    18th on State Highway 12 in the Town of West Turin.
