Brett Neddo led the Beavers with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in a 77-45 Class "C" semifinal victory over South Lewis on the boys side. Troy Purcell added 21 points and 5 rebounds for Beaver River. South Lewis, which jumped out to a 20-12 lead after the first quarter, was led by Dylan Durgan with 15 points and Ryan Newman who contributed 13. The Beaver River girls defeated South Lewis by a score of 43-35 in their Class "C" semifinal showdown. Sierra Neddo provided 17 points, while Emma Puddington added 15 for Beaver River in the win. South Lewis senior Jenna Rogers led all scorers with 19 points in the loss. In other action, the Copenhagen boys lost a tough fought battle against the top seed Sackets Harbor in a Class "D" semifinal game, by a score of 60-51. Connor Eddy provided 15 points for the Golden Knights. South Jefferson beat Lowville 50- 49 in a Class "B" game. |
