Temperatures and Precipitation in Lowville for November Near Normal Averages

Lowville, NY- The month of November saw near normal averages for temperature and precipitation in Lowville, according to data from Northeast Regional Climate Center dating back to 1893.

 

The mean average temperature (cumulative highs and lows) during November was 36.1 degrees in Lowville, slightly warmer than the normal mean average temperature for November of 35.7 degrees. The high temperature for the month of 59 degrees was reached on November 9th and the low temperature for the month of 13 degrees was reached on November 24th and 25th.

 

Precipitation for the month came in slightly below normal, with 3.41 inches of precipitation measured in November, compared to an average of 3.75 inches. There were 17 days with measurable precipitation during November, with 2 additional days recording a trace of precipitation. Included in the precipitation totals were 1.3 inches of new snow for the month (compared to a normal of 9.4 inches). The first measurable snow was recorded on November 27 (0.3 inches) and the most new snow measured for a day occurred on November 29 when 1 inch was recorded.
