Lewis County Court Activity Report for December 03,

Lowville, NY- The following
plea and sentencing activity took place on Friday in Lewis County Court,
with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding:
Adam J. Bauer, 47, of Port
Leyden, was sentenced to serve 1 year in the Lewis County Jail on a count
of fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon with Previous Felony
Conviction, a class A misdemeanor, to which he pleaded guilty to on October
29th. The sentence will run concurrently with time owed to parole
on a previous conviction. Mr. Bauer was additionally ordered to pay $250 in
court fees.
Mark A. Golden, 52, of Lyons
Falls, was sentenced to serve a 3 year term of
probation supervision on a charge of Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor,
to which he pleaded guilty to on October 15th. Restitution in
the amount of $400 has been paid in full. Mr. Golden was additionally
ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $50 in court fees.
Joseph J.
Hutchins, 33, of Boonville, was sentenced to serve 1 year in the Lewis
County Jail on a count of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle Without Owner’s
Consent, a class A Misdemeanor. Mr. Hutchins pleaded guilty to the charge
on October 29th. He was additionally ordered to pay $250 in
court fees. The sentence will run concurrently with time owed to parole on
a previous conviction.
Matthias J. Kubick, 29, of Altmar,
was sentenced to serve a 3-year term of probation supervision on charges of
Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Unlawful Fleeing, both class A
misdemeanors. Probation will be transferred to Oswego County, Mr. Kubick’s county of residence. He was additionally ordered
to pay $1,500 in fines and $420 in court fees.
Michael A.
Trombley, 39, of Edwards, was sentenced to serve a 3-year term of probation
supervision on a charge of Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, to which
he pleaded guilty to on August 27th. Probation supervision will
be transferred to St. Lawrence County, Mr. Trombley’s county of residence. He
was additionally ordered to pay $250 in court fees.
Jay W. Virkler, 36, of Croghan, was sentenced to serve
a 3-year term under probation supervision on a charge of Driving While
Intoxicated, to which he pleaded guilty to on October 15th. He was
additionally ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $420 in court fees.
Austin T. Vrooman, 21, currently a resident at the
Jefferson County Jail, pleaded guilty to one count of Forcible Touching, a
class A misdemeanor. The charge stems from an incident in the village of
Copenhagen on March 3, 2021, where Mr. Vrooman
subjected an adult to unwanted sexual contact. Sentencing in the case was
adjourned to February 4th, when Mr. Vrooman
is expected to be sent to the Lewis County Jail for 1 year, to be served
concurrently with any sentence for charges currently pending in Jefferson
County Court.
