October Finishes as Third Warmest on Record for Lowville

Lowville, NY- Lowville just experienced the third warmest October on record, according to data from the Northeast Regional Climate Center dating back to 1893.

 

The mean average temperature (cumulative highs and lows) during October was 54.3 degrees in Lowville, a full 7.2 degrees warmer than the normal mean average temperature for October of 47.1 degrees. Just two years have seen warmer Octobers in Lowville, with the warmest October occurring in 1947 with a mean average temperature of 56.1 degrees. The high temperature for the month of 75 degrees was reached on October 9th and 13th and the low temperature for the month of 29 degrees was reached on October 24th and 25th.
