M.D. Relocating his Practice to the
Beaver River Health Center on
December 17, 2021
LOWVILLE,
NY─ Lewis County Health System (LCHS) received notification on
Friday, November 12, 2021, that the Town of Diana would not renew the
health system’s lease for the Harrisville Health Center located at 14214
Church Street in Harrisville. Due to the cancellation of the lease, Board
Certified Family Practice Physician R. Brian Shambo,
M.D., and his medical team will no longer be seeing patients in
Harrisville, effective December 17, 2021.
“We
are committed to providing access to primary care to the residents of
northern Lewis County,” stated Gerald R. Cayer,
LCHS Chief Executive Officer. “Dr. Shambo
and his team will continue to see patients from the Harrisville Health Center
in nearby Beaver Falls. Through this action, the patients will
continue to have access to a highly-skilled medical team led by a
medical doctor dedicated to evidence-based medicine and medication management.”
Dr.
Shambo will relocate his practice to the Beaver
River Health Center, located at 9559 Main Street, Beaver Falls, N.Y 13305.
He will continue to offer a complete range of primary health care services
for the entire family on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am
to 5:00 pm. All current patients are welcome to see Dr. Shambo
in Beaver Falls. If you have an appointment scheduled on December 17 or
beyond, it will automatically transfer to Beaver River Health Center.

Medical Practices. “He is an experienced physician who has been providing
compassionate, high-quality health care in Lewis County and beyond for over
30 years.”
Brian
Shambo, M.D., is a graduate of Copenhagen Central
School. He earned a bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University,
Canton, New York, and his Medical Degree at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in
Syracuse, New York. Dr. Shambo worked for
several years in the Lewis County General Hospital Emergency Department
until he returned to family medicine in the clinic setting several over 15
years ago.
Patients
who do not wish to see Dr. Shambo in his new
office setting in Beaver Falls may transfer to any other primary care
provider in the Lewis County Health System network. Please call the health
center office at 315-537-5003, and the health center staff will help
coordinate the transition of care.
To
move to a provider outside of Lewis County Health System, the Harrisville
Health Center office will make a copy of your medical record available to
any physician/provider you designate. To comply with both state and federal
law, the office requires a patient to provide written request/authorization
to distribute a copy of their records. Patients of Harrisville Health
Center will receive a letter and an authorization form by mail in a few
days.
