County Reaches New Labor Agreement with General
Employees Unit

Lowville, NY- Members of the
local Civil Service Employee’s Association (CSEA) General Employees Unit,
who had been without a contract since January 1, have reached a new labor
agreement with the County which was approved by legislators during their
November 2nd meeting.
The new labor
agreement applies to the approximately 150 County employees represented by
the bargaining unit. The three-year deal is retroactive to January 1, 2021 and runs through December 31, 2023.
The new deal
includes:
A cumulative salary increase of 7.75
percent over 3 years, as follows:

2021 – 2.75% retro to January
·
2022 – 2.5%
·
2023 – 2.5%
Consolidation of salary schedules going
from three (3) schedules to two (2), with a $500 one-time payment for
employees not impacted by the schedule change.
