PRESS RELEASE
On August 18,
2021, State Police in Carthage arrested 35-year-old Christopher R.
Ayers for (2) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child
(A-misdemeanor) and (2) counts of Sexual Abuse 1st degree
(D-Felony).
Ayers is accused
of having sexual contact with a female under the age of 11 in the village
of Carthage on two separate occasions. He was remanded to the
Jefferson County Jail on $10,00.00 cash, $20,000.00 or $40,000.00 secure
bond.
